Patient services

This section lists some of the resources available in the health and disability sector in New Zealand.  The services and resources listed here concentrate on information outside of the mainstream health and disability areas.

The section provides some additional key things you may need to know or different services you may need to access, because of the presence of a rare disorder in your family.

Specialist Health Services - publicly funded services you may be referred to.

Coping with Your Condition - the best sources of practical information we can find, with links to the key organisations.

Participating in Your Community - information on equipment, housing, transport, education and vocational assistance.

When Problems Arise - information about places you can go for advice when health and disability services do not meet your needs or expectations.
